Detailed Census data on employment, qualifications and population mobility (journey to work and previous address) results will be available
from 17 October sometime in October 2017, this is yet to be confirmed.
This type of information needs extra time to process because of its complexity.
The release schedule ensures the Independent Assurance Panel has adequate time to review the Census results and provide their report before Census data is released to the community.
The Independent Assurance Panel, established following the MacGibbon Review, is undertaking an independent review of 2016 Census data to provide extra assurance and ensure transparency of the Census data quality assurance process. Its report to the Australian Statistician will also be released on 27 June 2017.
