5th Future of Youth Employment Forum
July 31 @ 8:00 am - August 2 @ 5:00 pm
Youth employment continues to be a high priority national concern, with a number of new and recurring pressures still yet to be overcome. Less than half of young people in education feel confident in achieving their post-school goals, and almost two thirds say they can foresee significant barriers in reaching meaningful employment.
Australia is facing new challenges; we live in a time of digital disruption where skillsets of the future are evolving, funding changes are restricting opportunities and economic turbulence is generating uncertainty in the future. Disengagement continues to be prevalent among today’s youth groups, and while progress is being made, there are still gaps left to be filled.
The 5th Future of Youth Employment Forum offers a unique opportunity to engage with cross-sector experts working to tackle youth unemployment across the board. With presentations from key leaders in State and Federal Government, the Education and NFP sector, the forum focusses on a ‘how to’ approach to engage, prepare and support young Australians into work through meaningful and sustainable pathways and targeted support.
